Certifications

Fiftenn state certifying agencies and three federal agencies have approved CompuChem for a wide range of environmental analyses. To maintain our certifications by these agencies we must regularly
  • submit to onsite inspections by the certifying agencies
  • remedy or submit plans of action to remedy any inspection findings
  • analyze performance evaluation (PE) samples from the certifying agency or the U.S. EPA
  • report all PE sample results and respond to any results deemed unacceptable
  • complete certification renewal applications annually or biannually
  • pay all applicable certification fees
CompuChem is a member in good standing with the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL).

State Certifications

Our laboratory is certified by some of the most prestigious environmental oversight agencies in the nation. The following table lists state agencies that have assessed and approved CompuChem. Please note that some states do not offer wastewater or solid waste certifications. Please contact CompuChem's Sales/Marketing Department for additional information regarding certification requirements.

NELAP Accreditation

CompuChem is a proud member of the NELAC program and maintains all requirements associated with this accreditation. We qualify for even more certifications by virtue of reciprocity agreements between our home state certifying agency, the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources, and certifying agencies located in other states across the nation.

Federal Agency Approval

A variety of federal agencies approve CompuChem to perform analyses under government contracts. A list of all federal agency approvals are listed below.

CompuChem holds a license issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to move non-domestic soil samples for analysis and disposal.
