CompuChem Laboratories, chartered in 1980, was previously owned by CompuChem Corporation and was a viable business concern through 1990 when Roche Biomedical Laboratories (RBL) of Burlington, NC acquired it. RBL was a division of Hoffman LaRoche Pharmaceutical (NJ) and owned the Company through October 1993 when it sold the environmental operating division to a group of investors and interested Company management. Liberty Associates purchased the assets of CompuChem in August 1996.

The company, now conducting business as CompuChem, moved from a rented property that was its base of operations for sixteen years and moved into a newly refurbished facility located on 11 acres in Cary, NC.

The company’s management was restructured and the laboratory infrastructure and systems processes were improved by key hires and design and technology enhancements that were incorporated into the new laboratory. Liberty owns the facility.

WearCheck USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Analytical Corporation, also located in Cary, NC. WearCheck is a state-of-the-art lab testing facility for lubricant wear and trending analyses.
