Company Profile
CompuChem, a division of Liberty Analytical Corporation, offers
a wide range of analytical services to support environmental engineers, private
industry, and state and federal government agencies. Proficient in EPA and industry
standard methods for analyzing organic and inorganic contaminants in liquid, solid,
and tissue samples, CompuChem combines the talent and experience of our professionals
with the latest instrumentation to produce quality data. This simple equation of
excellence has yielded legally defensible data for more than 25 years. CompuChem
is located near the Research Triangle Park (RTP) in Cary, North Carolina, and is
less than 5 miles from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Our laboratory
facility has over 30,000 square feet of space divided proportionately between a
number of laboratory and support areas.
Corporate History
Founded in 1980 as Mead
CompuChem, CompuChem established itself as one of the countries leading U.S. EPA
contract laboratories. By the mid-1980s, our client base had expanded to include
both commercial firms and government agencies. The 90s found the company performing
organic, inorganic, and wet chemistry analyses for an impressive list of commercial
and government clients. In 1996, CompuChem underwent management restructuring and
became a part of Liberty Analytical Corporation. In 1997, CompuChem purchased an
11-acre site and relocated to a new laboratory facility in Cary, North Carolina.
Corporate Philosophy
To meet the demands of industry and maintain a strong relationship
with the US EPA, CompuChem has always been firmly committed to a stringent program
of quality assurance, which is described in detail in our Quality Manual. Each director,
manager, supervisor, and staff member must comply with the quality program requirements
set forth in our Quality Manual, and in its sister document, the complete Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) manual. CompuChem teams with our clients and strives to
help solve problems that can be answered with valid data. CompuChem understands
the significance of long-term business relationships and our highly trained and
dedicated staff works with clients with the goal of fostering true partnerships.
